About the Authors
Years ago, while on vacation at the beach, Leslie Miller's oldest grandson asked her to tell him a story. Soon the number of grandchildren grew, and so did the number of stories. Monkey Island is the first book she published. She finds humor in writing about the Monkey family since many of the stories are based on her family and friends (although slightly exaggerated!)

Karen Miller, a graduate in Fine Arts, is the proud mom to her son, Parker. She is grateful for the opportunity to work with her mother and bring life and color to Monkey Island.

Leslie and Karen were both born and raised in the Mississippi Delta.
